Weekend Warriors – The Open Championship
The Weekend Golf format is very different from the Classic Golf format and it is important to know how to build winning lineups and attack these contests over on DraftKings. Simply put, Weekend Golf is all about scoring. Fantasy points for finishing positions are no longer awarded so selecting the right golfers for your lineup will require the right mix of golfers who started off well and others who might just be finding their form for a solid weekend run.

DRAFTKINGS WEEKEND IS BACK! That’s exciting! Prices are back to DK pricing.
Notable missed cuts (+3 is the line): Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Russell Knox, Daniel Berger, Sergio Garcia, Hideki Matsuyama (on a horrible triple bogey on 18), Matthew Fitzpatrick, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Dylan Frittelli, Emiliano Grillo
Weather consideration: Saturday morning could see some drizzle, but other than being a cold morning, there shouldn’t be any impact. The wind will be minimal in the morning, so there’s a definite advantage for those players – especially if just playing R3 Showdown slates on DraftKings – but overall, Saturday will be the calmest day of the tournament, wind-wise. After 1pm on Saturday the wind will pick up to 7mph (gusts of 8), increasing up to 12mph (16mph gusts) in the evening.
For Sunday, everything goes out the window in terms of wind: expected to be the wildest day of the week, there’s no real wave advantage (it calms down around 10-11am relative to the rest of the day) and at this point it’s too far out to even consider. For R4 Showdown, the early tee times will have a tiny advantage, but overall on Sunday expect very tough scoring conditions.
MDF consideration: No MDF in majors, so even with 79 golfers through everyone still gets two rounds.
