Weekend Warriors – Sony Open

The Weekend Golf format is very different from the Classic Golf format and it is important to know how to build winning lineups and attack these contests over on DraftKings.  Simply put, Weekend Golf is all about scoring.  Fantasy points for finishing positions are no longer awarded so selecting the right golfers for your lineup will require the right mix of golfers who started off well and others who might just be finding their form for a solid weekend run.

Notable missed cuts: Chris Kirk, Si Woo Kim, Kevin Tway, Zach Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Paul Casey, Sam Ryder, Bubba Watson, Ollie Schniederjans, Adam Scott, Patrick Rodgers

Weather consideration: Saturday and Sunday will be a lot like Thursday and Friday, with relatively benign weather in temperature, wind speed and dryness. There will be the possibility of showers Saturday night into Sunday which would soften the greens up and give longer hitters an advantage, but that’s currently only a 20% chance so it can be discounted for now; if playing R4 Showdown, check the weather Saturday night to see if that chance gets bumped up, and adjust for longer players as needed.

There will be wind gusts up to 15mph on Saturday morning, but they won’t last long, and that’s as fast as the wind will get. Not enough to get concerned about.

MDF consideration: Unfortunately yes. Be careful with players close to the cut line!
