The weekend

With the weather messing up the second round, this weekend will be a little dicier with the cut line unknown. DraftKings will most likely push lock later (as they’ve done in the past), so make sure to triple check on Saturday morning that you’re not rostering any missed cuts.

Notable missed cuts: Currently unknown what the cut line is, but some notables that definitely missed the cut are Lucas Glover, Matt Wallace, Si Woo Kim, Cameron Champ, Cameron Smith, Justin Harding, Keith Mitchell and Russell Knox.

Weather consideration: This is headed towards a Monday finish, as the delays in the second round will push the cut over into Saturday morning; that would be manageable on its own if the third round goes with threesomes off split tees and weather cooperates, but that’s extremely doubtful with more thunderstorms expected Saturday afternoon.

Saturday morning for the finish of R2 and start of R3 will see very soft conditions on the course, but very high winds – 15-20mph sustained with gusts in the 30mph range. Low ball flight is crucial here to combat the winds, and high approach shots could get pushed in any direction so scoring conditions will be very, very tough. The finish of R3 will most likely push into Sunday morning with thunderstorms coming late afternoon.

Sunday will be much, much better – winds will be down and no rain, although it’ll be cold. The course should still be extremely soft and winds will still be a factor (10-15mph but low gusts), but it’ll be a much easier test of golf.

MDF consideration: Too early to tell unfortunately – play it a little safer in cash games with golfers near the cut line just to be safe. It’s safe to say that anyone finished at E is inside the cut line, but anyone still to finish their second round comes with risk.

Current vs. Projected Chart: None as the cut has yet to be established
