Weekend Warriors – PGA Championship
The Weekend Golf format is very different from the Classic Golf format and it is important to know how to build winning lineups and attack these contests over on DraftKings. Simply put, Weekend Golf is all about scoring. Fantasy points for finishing positions are no longer awarded so selecting the right golfers for your lineup will require the right mix of golfers who started off well and others who might just be finding their form for a solid weekend run.
Prices are DraftKings’ weekend prices.
The weekend
With play suspended until tomorrow morning at 8am (EDT), weekend golf will get a little wonky as the cut will most likely come at E, but there’s a small (1-2%) chance that it goes to either -1 if scores continue to go low, or +1 if a good number of golfers forget how to play overnight.
Notable missed cuts: Si Woo Kim, Paul Casey, Bubba Watson, Aaron Wise, Jason Dufner, Beau Hossler, Patrick Reed, Charley Hoffman, Whee Kim
Notables close to the cut: Tony Finau, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, Ryan Moore, Danny Willett
Weather consideration: Golfers are going off in groups of three on split tees when the third round starts, so there won’t be much of a difference between the early/late tee times on Saturday. The rain the course got on Friday will keep the course soft and receptive, and will drop the humidity to much more manageable levels; there are really no concerns on the weekend as there’s no rain expected, and the wind on both Saturday and Sunday will be in the 6-12mph range which is what conditions have been through the first couple days.
MDF consideration: No MDF at the PGA Championship
