Notable missed cuts (-1 was the line): Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Emiliano Grillo, Marc Leishman, Sam Ryder, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Russell Knox, Tiger Woods withdrew.

Weather consideration: Although Friday saw a brief delay for thunderstorms, the weekend should be perfect – mostly sunny with temps in the mid-80s, and no rain.

The real consideration here is the wind, with Saturday morning having low sustained winds (~7mph) but high gusts up to 23mph and the afternoon having higher sustained winds (~12mph) but lower gusts (15-18mph). Of the two, the preference should be for the afternoon wave, as wind below 15mph is never really a factor so the higher gusts of the morning wave would be the only impact. Sunday is mild in terms of wind.

MDF consideration: No MDF in the playoffs. No MDF ever again. I just wanted to write that, this section won’t be appearing next week or ever again.
