Notable missed cuts (-3 was the line): Mackenzie Hughes, Alex Prugh, Jason Dufner, Kevin Tway, Hank Lebioda, JT Poston, Michael Kim, Cameron Champ, Joel Dahmen, Sam Burns. Stephan Jaeger WD and Peter Uihlein DQ.

Weather consideration: It’ll be quite hot on both Saturday and Sunday (90-100 throughout the day with the humidity) so the ball will naturally go farther, and wind-wise the wind will be in the 6-12mph range both days as well with gusts not much higher than that. The main concern will be rain, as both Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon could see some (light) thunderstorms – this will be enough to delay play, but not substantial enough to impact the course.

The main consideration here will be the added distance thanks to the humid air, on both days; the shorter hitters will be able to keep up with the big boys.

MDF consideration: A big MDF this week, so as always: avoid players in the lower third (unless written about below!). This is a birdie-fest course and there aren’t a ton of spots for big numbers on the card, so it’s a week to play “better safe than sorry” w/r/t the MDF.
