Weekend Warriors – Farmers Insurance Open

The Weekend Golf format is very different from the Classic Golf format and it is important to know how to build winning lineups and attack these contests over on DraftKings.  Simply put, Weekend Golf is all about scoring.  Fantasy points for finishing positions are no longer awarded so selecting the right golfers for your lineup will require the right mix of golfers who started off well and others who might just be finding their form for a solid weekend run.

Notable missed cuts: Abraham Ancer on a 3’ missed putt on the 18th, Aaron Wise, Patrick Cantlay, Daniel Berger, Harris English, Alex Noren, Hudson Swafford, Keith Mitchell, Cameron Champ, Branden Grace, Kyle Stanley

Weather consideration: There should be a Santa Ana wind on Saturday, which means golfers won’t be shooting the numbers they were the first two days; sustained winds on Saturday will be 10+ mph and shifting, with gusts up to 20mph. The sweet spot will be for early golfers with heavier winds coming Saturday afternoon into evening, which could be a key both for weekend and R3 Showdown.

Sunday will be closer to what golfers saw on both Thursday and Friday, so nothing to comment on there. Temps are mild but not cold, and there’s no rain in the forecast.
