Si Who? Si Woo, Si Who? Si Woo! What an impressive showing for the first time winner as he won by multiple shots over some top 50 OWGR. However, when a name like that wins, and most of the fantasy community did not mention or play him, you can expect results to be ugly.

Weekly Roundup– The Wyndham

Birdies galore! For the second straight week the cut was -3! That pushed out some very highly owned guys naming Rahm & Bryan. If you joined me for my podcast I warned of a Bryan MC as he didn’t have a great weekend last week, and he’s been playing so much.

My Fantasy Week Recap: 0 Shares of Si Woo took me out of contention in the 3$ birdie, and not enough Cab-Bello to give me a chance in the 33$ – Tough week overall for me.

The Winning Strategy: Si Woo Kim is the obvious one, but Luke Donald ended up being the other “need to find” of the week. A second place finish earned him the second most fantasy points and was only 3% owned in most contests. Pair that with Cab Bello/Sneds/Matsyama/Furyk you had a great start to the lineup

Right & Wrong
• Where I went Wrong- 0 Si Who? Si Woo… very little Luke Donald.
• Where I went Right- Furyk, Cab-Bello, Kisner, Na

Player Ownership Analysis

One would think that our best players probably struggled this week with Rahm’s MC and Si Woo’s W, but let’s take a look.

SaahilSud –An ok showing last week (at least in the contests I follow) so let’s see if he can make it two in a row:

• Results:
o $3- 150 Entries entered: Best Finish- 1248th

o $300+- 25 Entries Entered: Best Finishes- 33rd, 36th, 71st, 84th, 96th, 5/25 lineups cashed. I can imagine it wasn’t the greatest week for Saahil.

FlavorFlav– Yeaaaaa Boooooi is back on the list after sitting out some of the Olympic contest. Let’s take a look at what this famous rapper results were this week.

o $300- 25 Entries Entered: Best Finishes- 14th 22nd 50th 58th 75th 82nd 99th 10/25 lineups cashed. With two top 25 finishes I think he might have just broken even.

JAE686– After some great results last week, and his fourth straight top ten in the $300 let’s take a peak to see if he could make it an unprecedented 5th in a row.

Results:
o $3- 150 Entries entered: Best Finish- 362nd
o $33- 150 Entries entered: Best Finish- 34th
o $300- 25 Entries Entered: Best Finishes- 36th, 41st, 51st, 96th. 4/25 lineups cashed. Obviously it wasn’t a great week, as the streak stopped at 4.

PSBC22– A win last week gave him plenty of firepower this week. He followed that win up with multiple top 15 finishes.

Results:
o 3- 150 Entries entered: Best Finish: 105th
o $33- 55 Entries entered: Best Finish- 11th
o $300- 25 Entries: Best Finishes-7th, 9th, 11th, 36th 75X2, 90th 104th 8/25 but with three top 15’s I can assume that this was a profitable week.

iRep618– Our breakout performer last week winning the 100K Olympic prize played only 2 3$ lineups this week. No idea why so little but maybe he went to Vegas with his winnings. Neither lineup cashed so I’m not even going to go over his results.

TayTun26– This user scored the top prize of 50k this week in the 33$ dogleg contest. He only made 9 lineups to win the prize and only entered the $33 contest. His winning lineup did not have SI WHO? Si Woo… it had G Rafael Cabrera-Bello G Kevin Na G Graeme McDowell G Bud Cauley G Luke Donald G Hideki Matsuyama

The Barclays:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Because playoffs are here! Finally all the stars are back together and they head to Bethpage. The famous black course at Bethpage State Park, known for its warning to the public golfers on the “difficulty” of the course will be hosting The Barclays for the second time. It last hosted in 2012. Let’s take a look at some key stats from the 2012, and ones I think will be important to focus on this week.

1. Approach shots 200-225 – Scott, Matsuyama, Schwartzel, Lieshman, Moore
2. Scrambling – Stricker, Molder, Cejka, Donald, Mickelson
3. Rough Proximity – DJ-1,Grace-3, Simpson -3, Hoffman-5, Oosthzaen-7
4. Par 5 Scoring – Mcilroy-2,Day-4, Palmer-4,woodland-4,Watson-7
5. Tee to Green – Scott, Mcilroy, Stenson,DJ, Matsuyama

Player Focus: The Barclays

On the Rise: Well a few good finishes from the players last week, but I picked the wrong Kim or Luke Donald. I think I can do better but here’s what it looked like, T5 T5 T10 T10 T10 T22 T33 T51 MC MC

Bubba Watson– $9,100 – Yes he’s really on this list. Another good Draft Kings point week at the Olympics and a good finish here back in 2012, I like him to be another top 10 Draft Kings scorer this week.
o Target Finish- Top 5

Brandt Snedeker– $8,900 Peaking at the right time? 3,55,5 in his last 3 starts, and placed third here in 2012. His scrambling ability looks great, especially from the rough.
o Target Finish-top 3

Si Woo Kim– $8,400 What fantastic golf we saw this past weekend from the YOUNG Kim. Falling into the same category as Sang Moon Bae, he will face mandatory Military service, but until then he will be a force to reckon with. I like him to make a good run at the Fed Ex Cup. I’m officially on the bandwagon; lets just hope I’m not too late.
o Target Finish- Top 10

Emilliano Grillo– $8,300 Tour rookie of the year candidate Grillo comes in on the heels of an 8th place finish at the Olympics. I like him to compete for a top 10 in his first start at Bethpage.
o Target Finish- Top 15

Luke Donald– $7,500 Another guy that might be peaking at the right time, Donald coming off the heels of his second place finish at the WC, he returns to Bethpage where he found success in 2012 coming in 10th.
o Target Finish- Top 15

Kevin Na– $7,300 Another spot on this week’s list for Kevin as he did not disappoint last week with a 10th place finish. He did miss the cut here in 2012, but his recent form and salary seem to be a good fit.
o Target Finish- Top 15

Kevin Kisner– $6,400 I’m staying on Kisner as well after he did not disappoint last week. It will be his first appearance at Bethpage, but his recent form and salary make him very roserterable.
o Target Finish-Top 25

Harris English-$6,300 I needed someone in this range and it was either him or J.B Holmes, and Holmes has missed his last 3 cuts, so naturally I have to look elsewhere. I like the fact that he made the cut here in 2012, and recent form is ok, I like him for GPP plays.
o Target Finish-Top 25

Bret Stegmaier-$5,600 This tour rookie played his way into the playoffs with a fantastic 5th place finish at the WC. I like him to continue this good for this week and priced less than 6000 I think it’s tremendous value.
o Target Finish-Top 25

Pick to Click: The first edition of the “pick to click” scored is a bronze medal. I’ll try and get you the winner this week.

DJ-$11,900 Placed third here in 2012, DJ has fine-tuned the wedge game, and has had some time off. I feel he starts his push to the OWGR # 1 spot with a win here at Bethpage.

Heading South – Fades
Fowler was kind of an easy one last week, so I can’t really give myself too much credit there, and Hideki just retained his value with 103.5 points. We’ll try to do better this week.

Keegan Bradley-$7,600 His ownership has continued to grow yet the results just aren’t there. A MC here in 2012 as well means he’ll be very low on my ownership.

Charley Hoffman– $7,200 It seems like a lot for him here as the recent performance just hasn’t been there. He also missed the cut here in 2012.

The Pro Review: If you have been reading my column for a little while now you know I always like to throw in a little extra segment on something. Whether it’s last week with the On the Bubble, or first time participants/rookies etc, I’ve tried to throw at least a little bit extra in there. This week with the field set and no alternates I don’t have anything to go on, so I thought I’d do a review of the Pro’s see what we have learned in the time of doing this. I’ll go over average players used for the $3, $33 and $300 contests we follow and what their average ownership is of their highest owned golfer. I only used full field tournaments as well.

Average Players used: 45

Average Largest Percentage Ownership on one Golfer- 63%
