Weekly Roundup – The Shriners
Another exciting Sunday, and another golfer that ends a long winless drought. Pat Perez is on the board shooting a combined -21 over the 4 days. Very impressive as he ties Harris English for the lowest tournament total.

My Fantasy Week Recap: Harold Varner killed my lineups. I had 4 lineups all with Perez, Percy and at least 3 other guys in the top, but HV3 missing the cut dragged them down. A simple move to even someone like a Brian Harmon would have netted me 5 top 50 lineups.

The Winning Strategy: Of the 10 golfers priced over 9K only 3 gave you a return- Knox, Grillo, and Piercy. Therefore, you needed to go to the next dollar bracket to find Perez and Woodland. If you found either, you were set up for a decent week as only 6-8% had all 6 golfers get through and only 35% had 5 golfers.

Right & Wrong
• Where I went Right- Perez 20% in the 4$
• Where I Went Wrong- basically nothing on Woodland. Too much Rahm.

Player Ownership Analysis

If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen that at one point in round three when Woodland and Simpson were 1,2 one of our resident user had 1st -20th as 100% of his lineups had both those golfers. This same user for a large part of Sunday held the lead for the Millionaire Maker week 10 in football. A late CJ Prosise catch dropped him to second place by 0.1. Only a stat correction can bring back the 750k that just evaporated, still not a bad week I’m sure for the biggest fish in the business.

SaahilSud – Well if you hadn’t already figured it out, Saahil is who I was talking about above. Incredible stuff this week as he took down many top finishes across the industry. As I mentioned barring a stat correction he was second place in the Millionaire Maker along with 5 other top 25 lineups in that same contest. The golf results won’t even come close in terms of dollars to that win, but nonetheless I’m sure he’s thrilled with the results.

The RSM Classic: A short trip over the Gulf of Mexico across Florida and up the coast to Sea Island Georgia is this week’s stop for the PGA tour. The Sea Island Resort course measures just over 7000 yards and plays to a par 70. A host of professionals call this area home so a home field advantage might be in play.

Stats: Not a bad showing as I was able to showcase Luke List in 2/5 and also Scott Piercy and Gary Woodland. Missed out on Pat Perez though.

1. 150-175- Highest stat amongst 1-5 – Dechambeau, Garrigus, Wilksinson, Owen, Glover
2. Greens in Regulation – Glover, Cink, Drewitt, Percy, Owen
3. Par 3 Scoring – Furyk, Garrigus, Norlander, List, Hadley
4. Birdie or Better % – Garrigus, List, Kuchar, M. Thompson, Cauley
5. Good Drive % – Castro, Glover, N.Thompson, Stuard, Byrd

Player Focus: RSM Classic

On the Rise: A little better on the cut side only 3 missed the cut, but boy my guys had awful weekends. My finishes were: 24th, 35th, 15th ,55th , 55th

Charles Howell III – $9,200 After an abysmal start to his tournament on Thursday, Howell played the last 63 holes in an astounding 18 under. When this guy starts striking the ball as well as he did in Mexico, watch out. It doesn’t hurt that he’s never missed a cut here either.

John Huh – $8,300 A decent week in Mexico, with a sup-par Sunday, Huh has strung together a really nice fall. He’s also 2/2 here in Georgia and added 9th place finish here last year I expect the strong fall campaign to continue.

Ryan Blaum – $7,900 This Web.com Tour grad has played exceptionally well in the fall making all 4 cuts. No finish worse than 31st and 2 top 15 finishes including 15th in Mexico last week. I like Blaums overall sound game on a course that requires good iron play.

Robert Streb – $7,600 A former winner here, Streb is also 2/2 placing in the 30’s each time, his game seems to be relatively in tune. This is certainly more of a course pick than a recent form pick, but at least he wouldn’t have hurt you too bad had you rostered him the past 2 starts.

Whee Kim – $7,400 Back to back top 15’s at the Sanderon’s and Safeway, Kim makes his second stop in Sea Island. His first time looks like it didn’t go so well back in 2014, but his recent form is what compels me here.

Stewart Cink – $6,900 Player of the week right here. The guy has back to back 15th place finishes, he lives in Sea Island, and he’s 3/5 here. Match all those up with a reasonable salary, and Cink will be in some of my lineups this week.

Robert Garrigus – $6,400 This is more my cup of tea seeing him around these prices. Not a great track record here, but his stats say it should be better. I’ll give him one more go.

Ken Duke – $5,900 How can you ignore the course history here? 3/3 with a 4th 20th and 15th on his card, Duke is coming off a made cut in Mexico which should give him some confidence coming to a course he clearly loves. A great dart throw here below 6k.

Pick to Click: Eh Jonny Rahmmy didn’t perform. I’ll try to do better this week.
Winners picked this year: 1
Top 5 Picked- 3

Kevin Chappell – $10,200 – This is it. He finally wins. Nothing more to say.

Heading South – Fades
Kirk had a nice bounce back week in Mexico. I’ll do better this week.

Zach Johnson – $9,700 Even though he lives in the area, ZJ doesn’t have a top 10 on his card here in Georgia and he’s missed 2 cuts in 6 tries. It’s not a total fade but I feel like Web Simpson, Kisner, and Howell III are better plays.

The Pro Review: With a new year starting, I plan to update this regularly as lineup and roster construction is pivotal to everyone’s success in DFS.

% of field covered*(note because a lot of tournaments having several different field sizes I decided to change this to % of field covered. – 35%
