Zurich Classic of New Orleans Preview: 

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is the only team event on the PGA TOUR’s schedule that consists of 80 duos (160 golfers).  They will play two rounds of four-balls (first and third rounds) and two rounds of foursomes (second and fourth rounds).  After the second round, a cut will take place and only the low 33 teams and ties will get weekend times.  TPC Louisiana hosts the Zurich Classic of New Orleans located in Avondale, Louisiana.  It is a stock par 72 measuring 7,425 yards in length.  Accuracy off the tee is usually a requirement to go well here along with approach shots landing close to the pin.  Scrambling will also be necessary to stay in the mix if there is a missed green in regulation.  Experience at TPC Louisiana does not appear to matter much during team competition however incoming form does.  Previous winners of this event demonstrated that when both of their games were in good shape leading into this event, it translated into success at TPC Louisiana.
