Fantasy Golf Insider Beat the Experts FanDuel Contest

Sedgefield Country Club is the regular host of the Wyndham Championship, the final event before the FedExCup Playoffs.   It is one of the easiest par 70 courses on the PGA TOUR that measures 7,127 yards in length.  Last year’s winner, Henrik Stenson, recorded a tournament record 22-under 258 and the 2016 winner, Si Woo Kim, set the course record for 18 holes after firing a 10-under 60 in round two.  Simply put, this week will be a birdiefest.  Big hitters typically take a flier on the Wyndham Championship, so it is no coincidence that the past leaderboards are filled with golfers primarily known for their driving accuracy.  An accurate approach game that sets up plenty scoring opportunities is also necessary in order to go well this week though.  And ultimately it will be the golfers who sink the required amount of putts threatening to win.  Finally, the current weather forecast for Greensboro, North Carolina calls for warm and muggy conditions during the opening rounds, however there is a decent chance of thunderstorms over the weekend that could suspend play.  Winds should not be much of a factor.

The FGI PGA Interactive Model is going to assist us with our lineup building process because it identifies the golfers with solid Recent Form and whose Key Stats set up nicely at Sedgefield Country Club.  It also allows us to factor in Course History as well as an emphasis on Vegas (odds to win).  Below are the FGI PGA Interactive Model Overall weightings I will be using this week along with the Key Stats weightings for the Wyndham Championship provided by our friends at Fantasy Golf Metrics:
