Pebble Beach Golf Links will host the 119th U.S. Open and this historic golf course has gone through a United States Golf Association “upgrade” since the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was played here four months ago.   Located in beautiful Pebble Beach, California, Pebble Beach Golf Links will now play as a par 71 that stretches 7,075 yards in length for the U.S. Open.  Previous leaderboards of the U.S. Open when last played at Pebble Beach Golf Links in 2010 and 2000 show that both shorter and longer hitters can go well here, however big hitters will not be able to power their way into contention.  Overall, golfers who hit fairways to set up an accurate approach game will likely play well this week, but those who are also good with their putter on the slippery Poa annua greens will be the ones threatening to win.  Pebble Beach Golf Links will be an absolute complete test of golf the U.S. Open.

U.S. Open Weather:  The latest weather forecast for Pebble Beach, California can be found here.
