The RSM Classic is the last official event with a full field in the 2019 portion of the 2019-20 PGA TOUR season.  This will be the last chance golfers have at gaining some valuable FedExCup and ranking points before the holiday break.  A lot of the golfers in the field this week have connections to Sea Island, Georgia and have experience playing on the two courses that co-host this event.  Sea Island Resort’s Seaside and Plantation Courses will be played on Thursday and Friday and then only Seaside will be used for the final two rounds.  The Seaside course at Sea Island Resort is a par 70 measuring just over 7,000 yards.  It is very similar to a links style course, but the past leaderboards would not suggest that.  There will be plenty of scoring opportunities for the golfers who are accurate off the tee and who can control their ball flight if the conditions get windy.  The big hitters do not have their typical advantage with length off the tee because driving accuracy and landing the ball close to the pin are more of a premium here.
