THE PLAYERS Championship is otherwise known as the fifth major and the best players in all of golf will tee it up in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida to see if they have the game to prevail at TPC Sawgrass. The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass is an iconic Pete Dye design that plays as a par 72 measuring at 7,189 yards and tailors to the more accurate golfer. Overall, tee-to-green specialists will likely play well this week but leaders in Driving Accuracy and Proximity to the Hole will be the ones threatening to win. This is a course that requires precision throughout but probably most especially on the island-green 17th hole where a big number could end up on your scorecard. Lastly, the weather will not be much of a factor this week with sunny conditions in the forecast with only light to moderate breezes.
The FGI PGA Interactive Model is going to assist us with our lineup building process because it identifies the best golfers with solid Current Form and whose Key Stats set up nicely for TPC Sawgrass. It also allows us to factor in Course History as well as an emphasis on Vegas (odds to win).
