Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Preview:

The PGA TOUR travels to the Entertainment Capital of the World this week for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.  A strong field of 144 has assembled as many quality golfers do not want to get behind the eight ball in the FedExCup points standings.  TPC Summerlin is an easy par 71 that measures 7,255 yards in length, however due to the higher altitude, it plays slightly shorter than this.  Both strategic golfers and big hitters have gone well here in the past, but it is typically the golfers with a solid tee-to-green game and a hot putter on the bentgrass greens threatening to win.  The Par 5s are reachable for everyone and with favorable conditions all four rounds shaping up, this event should continue to live up to its reputation as a low scoring birdie-fest.
