The TOUR Championship features the top 30 golfers left in FedExCup points standings and they will be reseeded based on their position. This mathematically gives each of the 30 golfers a chance at winning the FedExCup and its massive prize. It is also possible for someone to win the FedExCup without winning this event but more than likely the winner will be walking away with the trophy and a $10 million payday. This is obviously another no cut event but unlike last week, deploying a “balanced” lineup will have most merit. This is because there are only 30 golfers in the field and the guys at the bottom of the market will have a difficult time reaching value as scoring will be limited. The positional points awarded for a Top 10 or better finish will be at a premium because only five golfers this week will be missing out on the positional points overall. The ones awarded for an 11th – 25th finish will have little fantasy impact. It is also important to understand that every lineup this week in FanDuel contests will consist of over 25% of the entire field in the TOUR Championship. Expect very high ownerships on certain golfers in both Cash and GPP games this week. It also probably goes without saying that you will need a perfect lineup to take down a GPP which will more than likely be shared with a few other gamers.
The East Lake GC rewards the more accurate golfer so keeping the ball in the fairways will be key for contending this week. Golfers will also need to be on top of their short game on this course if they want to do well. There will not be nearly as much scoring as we saw last week at the BMW Championship so making par should be considered a good thing on most holes. The winning score last year was 12 under par and 2 under rounded out the top 10. Similar scores should be expected here once again this year.

It also allows us to factor in Course History as well as an emphasis on Vegas (odds to win).
