Pat Perez had been trending up throughout the FedExCup Playoffs so it did not surprise me when he broke through at the CIMB Classic in a soft field on an easy course.  He was one of my favorite DFS golfers last season during this time so he will continue to be a target of mine throughout the fall season of the PGA TOUR once again this year.  The only thing now is that we may have to be a little more selective because of the price bump in his salary after a win.  The PGA TOUR heads to Jeju Island this week for the inaugural event of the CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES which is off the coast of the Korean Peninsula.  By all accounts this should be an exciting week of golf and the Club at Nine Bridges looks absolutely stunning.  The field is also a little bit stronger so there will be some more options at the top to choose from and just like with most no-cut events, we will want to build around 2-3 top tier golfers in our lineups this week over on FanDuel.  I am also not seeing the need to go to the bottom tier of golfers this week because of the value presented in the $5K-$6K range.  The Club at Nine Bridges should provide plenty of scoring opportunities so it will be essential for us gamers to have quality fantasy scoring golfers throughout our lineups this week.

The Club at Nine Bridges is another short par 72 measuring in at 7,196 yards so once again this will be one of the easiest courses these golfers will play on all season.  Since this is the inaugural event for the CJ CPU @ NINE BRIDGES there is no course history for us to work off of.  In fact, many of the South Korean golfers in the field this week have little to no experience here either.  Only a few golfers have played any holes here but they recognize that this course has been updated since they were here last and are really just getting their first glimpses along with everyone else during practice rounds.   I am expecting both strategic golfers and big hitters to fair well here but it might be the ones best in poor weather conditions that separate themselves from the rest of the field because the weather here on Jeju Island can be very dicey at times.

The FGI PGA Model is going to assist us with our lineup building process because it identifies the best golfers with solid Current Form and whose Key Stats set up nicely for the Club at Nine Bridges.  Since there is no Course History this week there will be extra emphasis on Vegas (odds to win).  Below are the FGI PGA Model Overall weights I will be using this week along with the Key Stats weights for the CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES provided by our friends at Fantasy Golf Metrics:

FGI PGA Model Overall weights:

                Current Form: 20%

                Key Stats: 35%

                Vegas: 45%

                Course History: 0%

FGI PGA Model Key Stats weights:

                SGT2G: 30%

                SGP: 20%

                PROX: 15%

                PAR5: 5%

                BOB%: 20%

                SCRAM: 10%
