Valero Texas Open Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

Coming off a T13 finish last time out at The Honda Classic, Cameron Tringale was hoping to build off that at the Valero Texas Open this week.  So far so good as he kept that great form going during the opening rounds when he shot a round one 6-under 66 and followed that up with a 3-under 69 in round two.  Tringale will enter the weekend as the solo leader at TPC San Antonio – AT&T Oaks with a two-stroke advantage.  Jordan Spieth also carried over his momentum from his T48 finish at THE PLAYERS Championship when he shot a total of 7-under par on Thursday and Friday at the Valero Texas Open.  He is currently sitting at T2 on the leaderboard after two rounds of play in San Antonio, Texas.  Apparently, a missed cut at The Honda Classic was nothing to worry about as Matt Wallace showed off an elite tee-to-green game during the first two rounds at TPC San Antonio – AT&T Oaks.  He joins Jordan Spieth at T2 on the Valero Texas Open leaderboard heading into the weekend.  Brandt Snedeker and Erik Van Rooyen impressed on the golf course after both fired 5-under par thus far and sit T4 on the Valero Texas Open leaderboard.  Tony Finau, Sam Burns, Zach Johnson and Harold Varner III all made too many mistakes and will not get a weekend tee time at TPC San Antonio – AT&T Oaks.  The weather in San Antonio, Texas is expected to remain decent over the weekend so an exciting conclusion with hopefully plenty of Weekend Golf scoring is in order.

Round 1 Scoring Avg:  73.368

Round 2 Scoring Avg:  73.196
