THE NORTHERN TRUST Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

Jon Rahm showed superb form at THE NORTHERN TRUST during the opening rounds when he shot a round one 8-under 63 and followed that up with a 4-under 67 in round two.  Rahm will enter the weekend as the 36-hole leader at Liberty National Golf Club with a one-stroke advantage.  Tony Finau was looking to improve off his T34 finish at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last time out when he shot a total of 11-under par on Thursday and Friday at THE NORTHERN TRUST.  He is currently in solo 2^nd place on the leaderboard after two rounds of play in Jersey City, New Jersey and is one of the betting favorites after Rahm to win THE NORTHERN TRUST.  Justin Thomas is enjoying his time at Liberty National Golf Club so far as he displayed a solid tee-to-green game and a hot putter during the first two rounds of THE NORTHERN TRUST en route to a 10-under par.  Thomas will enter the weekend T3 on the leaderboard.  Xander Schauffele and Keith Mitchell also impressed on the golf course after they also fired 10-under par thus far.  They join Thomas at T3 on THE NORTHERN TRUST leaderboard heading into the weekend.  Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Adam Scott, Tyrrell Hatton, and Matt Fitzpatrick all made too many mistakes and will not get a weekend tee time at Liberty National Golf Club after being considered pretournament favorites.  Tropical Storm Henri is being closely monitored as it nears the northeast, so hopefully an exciting conclusion with plenty of Weekend Golf scoring is on the way in Jersey City, New Jersey.
