the Memorial Tournament Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:
Looking to bounce back after a terrible missed cut Workday Charity Open, Ryan Palmer responded with conviction during the opening rounds of the Memorial Tournament. After firing a 5-under 67 on Thursday he backed that up with a 4-under 68 on Friday. Palmer had only one bogey over two rounds at Muirfield Village Golf Club and will enter the weekend tied with Tony FInau for 36-hole lead at the Memorial Tournament. Finau did not participate in the Workday Charity Open last week but rather elected to work on his game back in Utah. While there he shot 59 at Victory Ranch Golf Course so it was not a surprise to see him as the first-round leader at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Jon Rahm remained hot after his final round 64 at the Workday Charity Open last week. He sits in solo 3rd place finish at the Memorial Tournament one shot behind Palmer and Finau. Gary Woodland, Chez Reavie and Luke List all shot six under par during the opening rounds and currently sit T4 on the Memorial Tournament leaderboard. Viktor Hovland continues to display an impressive tee-to-green game and now his putting is heating up at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The Norwegian phenom currently sits with seven other golfers in tie for eighth place. Tiger Woods was able to continue his cut streak at Muirfield Village Golf Club after doing just enough to make the cut on the number. Even without fans present, all signs point to another entertaining finish at “Jack’s Tournament” over the weekend.
