Sentry Tournament of Champions Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:
With only a T11 finish from back in 2014 in this event to his credit, Harris English had little problems getting around in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii this time around when he shot a round one 8-under 65 and followed that up with a 6-under 67 in round two. English will enter the weekend as the solo leader on the Sentry Tournament of Champions leaderboard. After finishing in solo 4th place at The Masters and then T12 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic last time out, Justin Thomas continued his great form Thursday and Friday at The Plantation Course at Kapalua when he shot a total of 12-under par. The defending champion sits at T2 on the Sentry Tournament of Champions after two rounds of play. Dustin Johnson was a little rusty during the first round but picked things up in round two at The Plantation Course at Kapalua. The world’s number one golfer sits at T10 after 36 holes at the Sentry Tournament of Champions heading into the weekend and will look to win this event for a third time. Xander Schauffele continues to impress on the golf course after firing 11-under par thus far. He is joined by Brendon Todd, Sungjae Im and Patrick Reed at T6 on the Sentry Tournament of Champions leaderboard. Hideki Matsuyama got off to a terrible start at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and is currently the only golfer to shoot over par at The Plantation Course at Kapalua. Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii should continue to produce low scores over the weekend with minimal wind in the forecast and with the bunched-up leaderboard at the top, another exciting conclusion at the Sentry Tournament of Champions should be in the works.
