Stat Boy’s Weekend Warriors – Rocket Mortgage Classic

Rocket Mortgage Classic Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

Kevin Kisner, Doc Redman and Scott Stallings all shot a 7-under 65 on Thursday to share the first-round lead at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.  After their respective second rounds, Kisner currently sits at T9 on the leaderboard while Redman is T11 and Stallings is T20.  Matthew Wolff, Seamus Power, Mark Hubbard, Ryan Armour and Richy Werenski all had solid second rounds to surge up the leaderboard and are one stroke off the lead at T3.  Bryson DeChambeau continues to play power golf and Detroit Golf Club has not been able to not stop him yet.  The Scientist currently sits along with the previously mentioned golfers in a six-way tie for third place.  Webb Simpson picked up right where he left off after his win at the RBC Heritage and is a 36-hole co-leader heading into the weekend at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.  Chris Kirk has been the story of the tournament so far though.  He is back on the PGA TOUR full time after a battle with alcoholism and recently won The King & Bear Classic at World Golf Village over on the Korn Ferry Tour.  Kirk joins Simpson at the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend at Detroit Golf Club.
