PGA Championship Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:
After a T2 finish at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last week, Brooks Koepka was hoping to carry his momentum over into the PGA Championship as he looks to three-peat. Well, Koepka shot a round one 4-under 66 at TPC Harding Park and followed that up with a 2-under 68 in round two. Koepka will enter the weekend two shots off the lead and is in a great position to defend his PGA Championship title for a third time over the weekend. Tommy Fleetwood, Jason Day, Justin Rose and Mike Lorenzo-Vera also got off to fast starts at TPC Harding Park and join Koepka at T2 on the PGA Championship leaderboard. Brendon Todd and his exceptional short game finds himself in the mix for the second consecutive week. He sits along with Cameron Champ and Paul Casey at T8 on the PGA Championship leaderboard heading into the weekend. Xander Schauffele and Dustin Johnson remained hot after their solid outings at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last week. They are joined by Lanto Griffin, Bernd Wiesberger and Alex Noren at T11 on the PGA Championship leaderboard. After badly missing the cut at the Memorial Tournament and shooting 10-over par at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last week, Haotong Li went bogey free in the second round and will enter the weekend as the solo leader. With so many big names with weekend tee times, all signs point to a fantastic finish in San Francisco, California.
Round 1 Scoring Avg: 71.115
