Stat Boy’s Weekend Warriors – John Deere Classic

By Erik Dantoft

John Deere Classic Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

Luke List showed great form at the John Deere Classic during the opening rounds when he shot a round one 5-under 66 and followed that up with an 8-under 63 in round two.  List will enter the weekend as the 36-hole leader at TPC Deere Run with one stroke advantages.  Sebastian Munoz is improving off his T67 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last week when he shot a total of 12-under par on Thursday and Friday at the John Deere Classic.  He is currently in solo 2nd place on the leaderboard after two rounds of play in Silvis, Illinois.  Apparently, a return to TPC Deere Run was exactly what Ryan Moore needed to get going again as he showed off his vintage tee-to-green game during the first two rounds of the John Deere Classic.  Moore will enter the weekend T3 on the leaderboard and is one of the betting favorites to win the John Deere Classic.  Lucas Glover also impressed on the golf course after he also fired 11-under par thus far and joins Ryan Moore along with Adam Schenk, Chesson Hadley, Brandon Hagy, Chase Seiffert and Chez Reavie at T3 on the John Deere Classic leaderboard heading into the weekend.  Brian Harman, Kevin Streelman, Alex Noren, Si Woo Kim (WD), Troy Merritt and Doc Redman all made too many mistakes and will not get a weekend tee time at TPC Deere Run.  The weather in Silvis, Illinois is expected to have some inclement weather but hopefully an exciting conclusion with plenty of Weekend Golf scoring is on the way.
