Stat Boy’s Weekend Warriors – Charles Schwab Challenge

Charles Schwab Challenge Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

Tournament favorite Rory McIlroy shot a second round 63 to move up 35 spots to T4 along with Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa heading into the weekend.  Jordan Spieth shot another 5-under 65 and currently sits one stroke off the lead in T2.  He uncharacteristically four-putted on the 12^th hole but was still able to average 2.63 strokes gained putting over the opening rounds.  Bryson DeChambeau continues to overpower golf courses and the Colonial Country Club is his latest victim.  The Scientist has averaged 3.30 strokes gained tee-to-green thus far.  The story of the tournament so far has been the play of Harold Varner III.  He shot a bogey-free 63 in the first round and overcame a triple bogey on his first hole of round two to still shoot a 4-under 66.
