Bermuda Championship Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:
After a T5 finish at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open last time out, Will Zalatoris was hoping to secure Special Temporary Membership with no worse than a two-way T69 finish at the Bermuda Championship. Well, Zalatoris will more than likely on his way to that as he shot a round one 2-under 69 and followed that up with a 1-over 72 in round two during windy conditions at Port Royal Golf Course. Zalatoris is primed to move up the leaderboard at the Bermuda Championship over the weekend. Wyndham Clark got off to a fast start at Port Royal Golf Course where he made eagle on consecutive days at No. 2. He is in a tie for 1st place along with Ryan Armour on the Bermuda Championship leaderboard. After missing the cut on the number last time out at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Doc Redman came to Southampton, Bermuda in search of some redemption. So far, so good as he sits along with Ollie Schniederjans at T4 on the Bermuda Championship leaderboard heading into the weekend. Peter Malnati continues his great form at the Bermuda Championship after top five finishes at the Sanderson Farms Championship and at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He fired 5-under par thus far at Port Royal Golf Course and is joined by Denny McCarthy, Luke Donald, Roger Sloan, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Scott Piercy at T6 on the Bermuda Championship leaderboard. Brendon Todd, Harold Varner III, Charley Hoffman, Cameron Tringale and Henrik Stenson all failed to make the cut at the Bermuda Championship but will at least be able to spend the rest of their weekend on the island of Bermuda. Scoring will continue to be difficult at the Bermuda Championship due to the high winds expected over the weekend, but all signs point to a fantastic finish in Southampton, Bermuda.
