Two good weeks in a row to start the season is always positive and keeps me energized to continue to grind research for hour upon hour in order to produce my strategy and player core each and every week.  This week is the Safeway Open, which is usually the opening event for the fall season, but this week it is a few weeks into the 2019-2020 season.  Before we dive into Safeway let’s first review what happened last week.

What went right?  The top end players were magnificent for us as both Im and An delivered with a 2nd and 3rd place finish respectively.  I talked about how I felt Im was ready to win on tour, just as Joaquin Niemann won the week prior.  He was really close and probably should have.  I will continue to be behind Im even as the field strength improves throughout the year.  Of course Sebastian Munoz was our best pick as he was on $7,900 and the beauty of it is he was owned by less than 20% of the field in most GPPs.  What that tells me is most people are not paying attention to golf.  He has been trending positively for several months and all his statistics were sparkling coming into Sanderson Farms.  Everything lined up for another good performance and we were all over it.  That is why we have an edge all year, but particularly in the fall, where these lesser known guys who are really talented and nobody knows about can compete to win.  Also finishing well for us was Burgoon (6th), Tringale (16th), Griffin (T11), and Shelton (T28).

What went wrong?  Certainly the Vaughn Taylor missed cut hurt me along with a good chunk of the field last week. (15-17%).  He had been playing well coming in, but ultimately it is Vaughn Taylor so I am not that surprised (Dogshit 😊).  Several guys in the lower tier missed the cut as well (Straka, Hubbard, and Higgs).

Overall another good week and the best part is we still have 9 more weeks of this fall season!
