Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Wells Fargo Championship
Although we did not have PGA DFS last week, we continued to ride our heater with a very nice effort on the European Tour and the Volvo China Open. Congrats to everybody who did well in both cash games and GPPs last week, we have heard from many of you. If you have not tried Euro Golf -or- tried it originally and did not have success, check it out. We have been absolutely dialed in the last couple of months and with the help of Erik’s (Statboy) Model, which is the best in the industry and it is not close, we have been crushing the competition. If Dylan Frittelli would have held on to the lead and won last week, I personally would have had a monster week as I had over 50% exposure. Lorenzo-Vera, James Morrison, George Coetzee, Ross Fisher, and especially Chris Wood (only $7,500) all helped propel the core to big things last week. If you were like me, you decent exposure to Jordan L Smith, who absolutely laid an egg on Friday and plummeted so far that he missed the cut and killed about 20% of my lineups. Overall, another very good week for the Core and we look to continue the nice run this week into the Wells Fargo and THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP next week. Speaking of THE PLAYERS, I will be down in Florida next week and checking out TPC Sawgrass on Thursday. If you are going to be there or even better have an extra ticket let me know and we can connect and have a cocktail.
But for now our focus is on the Wells Fargo from Eagle Point Golf Club, not the usual Quaill Hollow GC, which traded up this year to the PGA Championship this year.
I have a lot of things I am going to be factoring into my strategy, roster composition, and player selection this week. Of course the return of Dustin Johnson and what to do with him is certainly first and foremost.
