One of the most interesting and fun events of the year and one of my absolute favorites is the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Of course you know about the rowdy “Stadium Hole-#16), but overall it is a party atmosphere, players are more engaged with the fans here than anywhere else, and we have a tremendous field playing this year. Combine those things and the fact that it leads into the Super Bowl on Sunday and it makes for one of the best sports Sundays all year.

I wanted to make sure you had a chance to read my latest article focusing on the salary cap usage of GPP winners over last three years. I have heard so many people throughout the industry give their opinion on how much salary cap should be left in order to differentiate in large field GPPs.  What I was seeing week after week was not aligning with what people were advising so I decided to collect the actual data so we can know for sure what the best strategy is when building lineups.  Like I have always said, picking the correct players is important, but all the other things that get ignored by most people are what separate the consistently profitable DFS players.  Strategic fading, aggregate ownership, roster composition, salary cap usage, etc are all things that need to be factored in to your strategy each week and it is what gives FGI members an edge over everybody else.  The Salary Cap Conundrum
