It was nice to see a bunch of Fantasy Golf Insider logos atop GPP standings in European Tour DFS last week on Draftkings. Congratulations to all of you who had yet another successful week playing Euro. The playoff included two guys that were in the Core last week, Bernd Wiesberger and Tommy Fleetwood and I was happy with the Bernd victory as I had a few more shares of him. In addition to the top 2, we also had guys like Dylan Frittelli who was priced at a measily $7,000, take T5. Lorenzo-Vera and Korhonen also gave us nice finishes for their pricetag. Overall, only three guys out of thirteen in the core missed the cut and if we can get that high of % on the Euro Tour with the smaller cut, we will be in good shape.

If you are not using our European Tour Lineup builder, this would be a fantastic week to give it a try. Also, I have mentioned this before, but our Stat Guy, Erik, has been killing it with the Euro FGI model over the past couple of months and I rely heavily on the information there and would recommend you utilize that as well.

I am hoping to keep the hot last couple of months going this week as we have some bigger contests for Euro, as the billion dollar DFS sites are unable to crack the code of finding a way to implement the scoring system to the team event for Zurich this week. In my opinion, they have had many months since Zurich decided to make this a team event and if they had any interest or a half-way decent programmer, we would have PGA DFS this week. But alas, if they can’t possibly manage how to figure out a live final, they sure as hell aren’t going to figure out this. I think with the absence of PGA DFS this week, we are going to have a bunch of players who have not played Euro golf before, which puts us at a superior advantage. Most people will not know who these players are that we  follow week in and week out. Although this is a GPP column, I am going to advise you to play cash games this week as well.

Keep reading for my strategy for this week’s Volvo China Open as well as the core that I will be playing.
