Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Valspar Championship
What a roller coaster of emotions last week’s Players Championship turned out to be. One of my favorite events of the year turned into sheer agony and pain for us fans trying to tolerate the dreadful weather. For those of you who followed my advice and stacked both sides of the tee time waves you were very happy with the am/pm side. I always advocate doing so in weeks where the weather likely will play a role. I knew there would be a weather edge last week, it was just unclear which would end up having the edge based upon the times of the delays. My Wednesday email explained how I was planning on stacking both sides. Actually, all of my Wednesday night actions paid off, as I added Cam Smith and Paul Casey to my core as I included in my article update. The weather stack and additions to core saved my week and went from an otherwise disaster to a slightly profitable week. I heard from David Kotler, FGI member who said that his roster that won the $1M last week was an am/pm stack. Congrats again by the way David! This week we stay in Florida at another beast of a course (Copperhead) and we have a better field than usual. Several of the top names in the world will be playing, although the depth of the field drops off quite a bit beyond the top. Copperhead is a fun course and should cause some carnage like we saw last week.
