Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Travelers Championship

As opposed to last year, when the Travelers was a cross country trip from Torrey Pines and the U.S Open, this week’s event is only a stone’s throw from The Country Club in Brookline.  Cromwell Connecticut is the home for TPC River Highlands and the Travelers Championship and has been since 1984.  We have another large field this week (156 players) and it is actually good considering it is the week following the U.S Open.  Part of that is attributable to the proximity of the course compared to the U.S. Open and the other is the upcoming events on the schedule which feature John Deere (which everybody will skip) next week and then the Sottish Open the following week (which everybody will head to before The Open).  It should be an entertaining week of golf, best of luck Team FGI!
