Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Tour Championship
We have reached the finale of the very strange 2019-2020 PGA Tour season. Last fall who would have thought we would have experienced everything that we have experienced this past 12 months. Certainly those guys who took the fall schedule seriously and had success are being rewarded with the schedule being reduced so much. I will say, despite the season being shortened and mixed up, it has been a pretty dang exciting summer of golf. Last weeks ending was the best I have ever seen to a golf tournament in my life. The odds of either one of those putts going down by DJ or Rahm was so tiny and for them both to make them and in such clutch situations I found myself in absolute awe. There were a ton of great moments over the past few months. The end of the season always gets me down a little bit, because we have a break and then the fall swing normally is lacking many of the big stars, but not this fall baby! The new season kicks off next week with the Safeway and then the US Open the week after and an event every week throughout the entire fall with the Masters in November. It really does not get any better than that for us golf fans.
Now as for this week’s Tour Championship, the format is different than any other week and it is the second year they have done the staggered start format. There is a lot to think about as far as strategy goes and I will walk you through my thought process below. I will say that I hate, hate, hate what Draftkings did with Dustin Johnson’s price (they did the same garbage with JT last year). I will talk about it shortly. Anyway, good luck this week Team FGI!
