The Tour says goodbye to Hawaii and comes back to the states and to La Quinta, California for this week’s American Express.  For those of you that have been around a while, like us, you may also remember this tournament as the Career Builder, Humana, Desert Classic, and the Bob Hope Classic.  Also, if you have been around a while you will remember the format for which this tournament has been played with a three-course rotation, 54-hole cut, pro-am, etc.  Well forget all that, because it is completely different this year.  First of all, no Pro-Am, yeah!!!!!!  Second, they have eliminated play at La Quinta golf course this year and narrowed it down to just the Nicklaus course and the Stadium Course.  The players will play their first two rounds on each of the courses, then there will be a standard cut (Top 65 and ties) and the remaining two rounds will be played on the Stadium Course.  We have a relatively strong field, which is not always the case for this event, although Jon Rahm has already withdrawn making it much more open for lesser guys to pull out a win.  It should be a fun week.  Best of luck Team FGI!
