Not a bad start at all to the New Year as the Tournament of Champions was pretty good to us again.  We had exposure to eight of the Top 10 finishers, which was huge. Our highest owned were McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Webb Simpson, and Gary Woodland. I do wish I had more exposure to Xander Schauffele, to have given us more chances to hit the winner in a big GPP, but I usually do not get Xander correct, so I am just happy to have owned him at all.

Congratulations to all of you that had success last week. A special shout out goes to Brian Gallucci (screenname: B32044) who took 2nd in the huge $5 Season Tee OFF GPP out of 71,343 entries and also won both mini-max GPPs as well.

There were only really a few grenades mixed into the guys we had exposure to including Aaron Wise, Billy Horschel, and Bubba Watson. Horschel actually cost me quite a bit as he was the sixth player on a few otherwise perfect rosters. That is the way it goes however when you generate lineups. Sometimes you end up with a guy who you have minimal exposure to and they happen to end up on a great team and ruin it. I do not regret the Horschel or Wise pick, but I do regret having exposure to Bubba Watson.  I only had about 10% exposure because I did not love him, but felt the course was a tremendous fit for his game and he has had success there before. The problem is the wind picked up a couple of days and Bubba turns into a pumpkin when wind appears. The narrative of Xander having issues with the wind was debunked obviously, but with Bubba it is scary how real it is. Just watching him and his body language react to what the wind was doing to his ball was comical. Not one of the guys who plows through adversity, I need to make certain that if wind is expected at an event at all, that we need to steer clear of Bubba.

A great start to the new year, I hope all of you are utilizing all of the tools on the site and enjoy all of our content as well. If you every need anything, just let us know. Our #1 priority is to get you the very best information available anywhere, period.

Good luck this week and let’s crush the Sony Open!
