Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Sony Open

The first week of PGA action in 2017 is in the books and overall it was a decent, but not great week for my Core.  Obviously not having the winner in a small field tournament automatically eliminates any chance of winning a GPP.  I was able to cash with quite a few lineups that contained Spieth, Matsuyama, Reed, Walker, Dufner, and Sneds.  However a lot of my lineups had a grenade like Grace or Kim on them.  This week we return to our conventional full-field, cut event which I am very anxious for.  22 of the players stay in Hawaii albeit a different island, and I think a small amount of importance should be placed upon that.  Especially early in the season be disciplined with your bankroll.  Over the next several weeks, let’s work hard to identify trends. Knox (here is my disclaimer on Knox:  If you are playing one team, probably don’t risk it with Knox.  However if you are playing 30 or 40 teams, mix him in on a few of them.  He is a big-time boom or bust pick.
