Check out my recap of The Open Championship in my Hardcore Core- RBC Canadian Open column. We are going to skip right to the Porsche European Open this week and I really wish I had more to talk about with this event.  The event takes place at Green Eagle Golf Course, which is a new course for this event, so we will not have any significant course history to work off of.  From studying the course online, it is clearly a bombers course and actually could be playing around 7,800-7,900 yards. It is a par 73 and has bentgrass greens.  Draftkings continues to make their European Tour GPPs undesirable.  For some reason they think that there is no interest in European golf, but I truly believe there is just no interest in their contests.  It is pretty simple, make the contests intriguing and players will play in them.  Have a big prize up top and suddenly people will want to start researching more and playing more.  If  there is action on paint drying or grass growing, people will get involved.  If you size your contest too small, people will not give a damn and simply will not want to spend any time researching or playing.  I have not been impressed with the way DK has been run over the past few years in many different areas and contest sizing is one of them (oh yeah that whole advertising debacle deal was bad too 😊

Onto the Porsche European Open.
