A huge week for DFS Golf with the final major of the year, plus we still have the FedEx Cup Playoffs coming, which provides an exciting month of golf, this is such an exciting time of year for golf fans and FGI is geared up for it.

Before I recap last week’s WGC Bridgestone and then preview this week’s PGA Championship, I just wanted to let you know how much football content and information we are going to be offering completely free of charge to our Edge Package and Pro Package members again this year. Projections, a WR vs Cornerback match-up chart, Zach’s cash game article and my GPP article gives you all the information you need to be a profitable DFS football player. Those of you who utilized our football information last year know how thorough it is, but for those of you who are new and are wondering what we know about football, here is a brief summary:

Zach and I started playing fantasy football in the late eighties, long before it became close to as popular as it is today. Over the years I have played in many leagues, including some of the biggest high stakes leagues. I have won season-long, high stakes leagues in both the FFPC and NFFC. I have also had success playing DFS football as well. I have been NET positive in each of the last four seasons playing DFS. In 2016 I was fortunate enough to win over $150,000 during the football season. In week 1 I took 2nd out of 113,818 in the main $20 GPP and 6th out of 1,436,510 in the $3 GPP. Last year I was fortunate enough to qualify for the $12,000,000 Draftkings Live Final in Miami Florida. I left there having won $35,000.

We know golf, but we also know football, so I hope you join us for this 2018 season and utilize our tools and articles for season long and DFS football throughout the entire NFL season completely free for all Edge Package and Pro Package members of FGI.

Alright enough about football let’s get into golf and recap the WGC.

It was another week in which we had the winner in my core, which was critical as Justin Thomas was owned by at least 25% of the field in GPPs. I knew that he would be popular, but simply could not pass up on the ridiculous value that his $8,800 provided. This is now two weeks in a row that one of the chalkiest plays won (DJ the week before). Going into a week, you need to decide whether you are going to eat the chalk and go heavy/overweight (I wanted 2X of JT, so I went around 45-50% exposure) -or- fade them completely. I will be honest, if JT was priced where he should have been at $10k, I would not have been so high on him and might not have had him in my core (but then again he wouldn’t have had super high ownership). In addition to JT, there were a couple other decent performances including Day (T10), Finau (T10), and Oosty with a T24 was ok. My $7k guys were where we stunk with the likes of Schauffelle, Chappell, Hoffman, and Grillo being absolutely miserable. Bryson’s opening round 75 ruined any chance he had, which was disappointing as he was able to go 69,68, and 67 the final three rounds. I had a ton of JT, Day, Finau stacks and had I gotten anything out of my $7k guys it would have been an extremely lucrative week instead of a small one. It is never a terrible thing to have a small profit in GPPs, but obviously not what we want. I am very excited for The PGA Championship this week and the final edition of the Millionaire Maker for another chance at a ridiculously large first prize. Remember, what we always preach however for majors, which is to make sure to play some cash games. Certainly, taking our shot at $1M is great, but we have made money in cash games most every major over the past three years, so be sure to read Zach’s cash game strategy and core in the Daily Spin to continue to build your bankroll.
