Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Open Championship

My favorite week of the golf year, Open Championship Week!!!  The host of this year’s edition is Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.  The Open has been hosted by Royal Birkdale 10 times previously, the most recent in 2017.  I have bad memories from that year as I put a large sum of money on Matt Kuchar to win in Las Vegas before the tournament at very long odds.  It came down to him and  Spieth and thanks to a questionable rules decision and a couple of unbelievable breaks for Spieth, Kuchar came up short and the $20k+ that I could have won evaporated.

In my opinion this tournament gives us one of the larger edges of any tournament during the year in large field GPPs.  So many factors come into play and weather often plays a key role.

It should be a super fun week.
