Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Nordea Masters (European Tour Package)

My strategy of fading Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson up top didn’t turn out to dramatically help me or hurt me as they placed T12 and T3 respectively. Dropping down in salary to guys like Alex Noren (1st) and Branden Grace (T9 and under 10% ownership) proved to be beneficial as it allowed us a more balanced roster. Unfortunately, guys like Hatton (T30), Wood (T49), and Uihlein (T30) could not surge toward the top of the leaderboard and provide us the points we needed out of them to win a GPP. I did hear from several of Team FGI who had wins in some Euro DK contests, so congrats to you folks. Having four guys out of the core miss the cut is not good even if it is with the smaller cut on the Euro Tour. Martin Kaymer was the biggest disappointment as he had been so consistent this season, but he put a dagger in a lot of my rosters across GPPs. Overall not a great week for the Euro Core despite having the winner, Noren. We look to rebound this week with a bunch of Swedes!
