Jeff’s Hardcore Core- NFL Week 2
Week 1 of the NFL season has come and gone and it was certainly was an interesting week of football. I generally like the first week when it comes to DFS, but I also really love week 2. The reason I like week 2 so much is because of the overreaction factor. The anticipation people have for the first regular season football game is unlike anything else in sports. They become fixated on everything that happens, overreact, and make bad decisions based upon the tiniest of sample sizes. Are the Patriots done? Are the Jags going to dominate this year? Is the Chiefs offense the second coming of 99 Rams? Will the Seahawks be held out of the endzone all season? Will defenses rule DFS all season? The answer to all of these questions is an emphatic, NO. However in listening to folks and their reaction to the games, you would certainly think of these things are a forgone conclusion. For this reason, I like to go against the grain and disregard some of the things we saw in week 1. Of course some of the things that happened in week 1 are an indication of whats to come for the entire season, it is just too small of a sample to make a ton of clear determinations.
