The contests this week on Draftkings are clearly more appealing for the Olympics, but if you are more comfortable with a full field, cut event, stick to the John Deere Classic. The field is obviously extremely thin and ownership is going to flock to a handful of guys. Be sure to check out our ownership projection page to see who we think those guys will be. I have a certain strategy that I am going to go with this week and certain players who I will heavily target. Best of luck this week!

The Hardcore Core- John Deere Classic-

Zach Johnson and Steve Stricker are going to be full fades for me this week. Do they have an outstanding tournament history? Yes. Are they in good form coming in? Yes. Could they win this tournament? Yes. However, I believe Stricker’s ownership could reach 30% and Zach Johnson could possibly reach the mid 30% range. At their prices, the only way it would crush you by fading them is if they finished in the Top 2 and I believe there is a good shot that does not happen. It is going to be a scoring fest this week, so the variance is going to be high. You will see a few guys listed that have been really good for spurts in the past and have shown glimpses of that coming back recently, and I will be targeting them. Also, we need birdie makers (scorers) this week, so you will see several included as well. There are also a bunch of contrarian plays that I will be taking a shot on as well. Go big or go home in GPPs. Let me just be clear, this list is not a cash game list, it is a list for GPPS specifically.

Jon Rahm
Kevin Na
Ryan Moore
Gary Woodland
Robert Streb
Patrick Rodgers
Chris Stroud
Hudson Swafford
Ricky Barnes
Keegan Bradley
Jamie Lovemark (very high risk, form is terrible, I just think his game fits this course nicely, worth a shot)
Spencer Levin
Retief Goosen
Shawn Stefani
Luke Guthrie
