Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Honda Classic
Sitting in its customary spot, as the first event of the Florida swing following the West Coast swing, the Honda Classic gets a really weak field again this year. It seems like most people are liking the elevated events with the stacked fields, which is great, the only problem is events like this that get passed over by almost every top name in the world. I still always find the transition interesting from the West Coast to Florida, and going from primarily POA putting surfaces to bermuda. PGA National is always a bear, and features a bunch of blow-up holes that bring double bogey into play. We haven’t had to work real hard to dig for names in the $7k range the last couple of weeks, but we sure do this week. I am excited however for the task and think we can gain an edge over our competition with our knowledge of the much lesser known players. Best of luck this week my friends.
