Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Honda Classic

Despite the weather causing havoc with play last week at The Genesis, the results ended up positively for the Hardcore Core last week. We were on Dustin Johnson, which was an absolute must as he was owned by about 40% of the field across most GPPs on Draftkings. By far the best pick of last week (and maybe all year) was Thomas Pieters who gave us a T2 finish and 112 DK points all for only $6,700 and around 10% ownership. Others who helped many FGI members cash included Justin Rose, Seung-Yul Noh, Branden Grace, JB Holmes, and Brendan Steele. The huge grenades for the Core and my GPP teams were Brooks Koepka, Brandt Snedeker, and Jason Day who I had significant exposure to. Overall a very strong week, but I will say not up to the high standards that we place upon ourselves. If we are not dominating, I am not content, so I will keep grinding away to give you folks the best core of GPP plays I possibly can.

This week we have the start of the Florida swing and Bermuda greens, which play a significant role in my research. You will notice that some of the guys in my core don’t necessarily have the best current form, but are perennially better when it comes to Florida golf and bermuda greens. I am excited for this upcoming stretch of golf leading into the majors and am looking to get a bunch of Team FGI atop big-time GPP leaderboards.  Best of luck this week.
