Jeff’s Hardcore Core- FedEx St Jude Classic

As I said in the weekend article I wrote, there simply is no explanation as to how/why both Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm played so poorly and missed the cut badly last week at The Memorial.  I am just lucky that somebody did not approach me with a bet that both would have missed the cut, because I would have lost a fortune.  Most of the time I end up beating myself up over missing out on a guy or loading up when they miss the cut.  To be honest, I would do the same thing over again if I had a chance and roster DJ and Rahm heavily again. Kuchar, Leishman, Stanley, Uihlein, and An all paid off their price and did well for the Core.  Patrick Reed continues to disappoint me this season and just can’t seem to return to the form that he had last year.  I have been doing well with the lower priced guys the last couple of months, but last week I certainly did not.  RCB, Horschel, and Tway all missed the cut and shaved off some of my teams.  It was certainly a bizarre week overall and one that I was not profitable.  Fortunately, I crushed weekend golf and I know a lot of you did as well and that helped me offset my full week teams in GPPs.

This week we have our final tune-up for the U.S Open, although not a ton of guys playing this week will be heading to Erin Hills.
