Jeff’s Hardcore Core- DP World Championship (European Package)

Not very often will I be all-in on a chalky play for GPP purposes, but this week I am making an exception. There is no doubt that Rory McIlroy will be owned by a large share of the field (around half the field according to our ownership projections). However, I am going to have an overweight exposure and have about 80% Rory ownership this week. There are several reason for this strategy: 1. Rory owns Dubai, in this event alone he has finished 5th or better six of seven appearances. 2. This is a no-cut event and even if he has a horrible round, he will do like he normally does and string a couple of 65s together and get back into contention. 3. Nobody in the world has better current form than Rory and he has been doing it in stacked fields. 4. Even if Rory does not finish in the Top 5 in the standings, I am confident that he will finish in the Top 5 for Draftkings points, because he is such a good BOB player. If for some small chance Rory chokes and finishes outside the Top 5, then I am not going to win GPPs this week, but you need to take a stance in GPPs and this is mine this week. Given that I am going to be locking in Rory, I am going to have to roster several players down in the $6k-$7k range, and you will see them listed in my core. I think there are some decent options that have a ton of upside in the event this week.
