Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Charles Schwab Challenge
Welcome back my friends, it has likely been the strangest past couple of months of our lives since we last talked. I hope you and your family have been able to endure the pandemic and all the hardships it has brought upon us and that you continue to be safe and well. This week we are fortunate enough to return to a little bit of normalcy, as the PGA Tour starts rolling again. I cannot believe the first round of The Players Championship was the last meaningful golf we have seen. I had zero interest in the Outlaw Tour or playing DFS for it. We were asked by a few people about it, but Zach and I are in this to make money. There is a reason we are the longest running golf only DFS site and have been so profitable for so long and that is because we don’t just throw our money around. We work extremely hard to gain an edge over the field and with the help of our amazing tools, we believe we have an edge and are proud to be able to pass that on to you Team FGI. With such limited information available for Outlaw Tour players, it would strictly have been playing table games at the casino playing at a disadvantage. Being a profitable player over the long run very much includes game/contest selection and a ton of discipline, not just playing whatever is available. Be sure you are developing a plan as to what contests you will be targeting and stay disciplined with your bankroll. We want all of FGI to win and to do that you need to stay in the game. This weeks event, the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial is the perfect tournament to reward our patience, because it has been one of our most profitable tournaments here at FGI. Just about every year, I have been profitable with this event and in 2015 was able to hit over $50k and a Live Final ticket, which brings back such terrific memories. I feel like we have a very good grasp as to the type of players we should be targeting this week, so needless to say I am very excited.
Another reason to be excited is our brand new course comparison tool and Colonial is the perfect course to utilize this tool because it is so distinct as to what “type” of player it suits best. This is truly an amazing tool that I have been building in my brain for a long time, and thankfully we have a fantastic developer (Aaron Johnson) who could physically build it.
Feel free to check out the video tutorial that is at the top of the course comparison tool page. It will walk you through some key features and how I like to use it.
