Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Butterfield Bermuda Championship

Oh what a life it would be to play on the PGA Tour and get to head to beautiful Bermuda this week to play golf.  This is the eighth edition of The Bermuda Championship, so we have seven years of course history to work with, as you will see on our tournament history page.

The last several years, this event has had some random winners.  Three years ago Camillo Villegas won having not finished in the Top 30 on the PGA Tour all year, except for a runner-up the week before at World Wide Technologies.  Two years ago it was Rafael Campos who was victorious and he didn’t even have a good finish the week before as he missed the cut in Mexico.  In all he had missed four straight cuts coming into this event before winning it.  Since his win there he failed to finish better than T34 in any event (27 events) of which he has missed 21 cuts.  Last year Adam Schenk won coming in off of 15 missed cuts in the year, including missing the next three cuts following the win.

Bottom line is you do not have to be in good form to do well in this event and you do not even need to be very good at all.

Best of luck this week Team FGI!
