Jeff’s Hardcore Core- BMW Championship

We are down to 50 players for the BMW Championship this week as 20 more players bit the dust after the FedEx St Jude.  Alex Smalley, Nick Hardy, Stephan Jaeger, and Keith Mitchell were among the casualties, while the likes of Patrick Rodgers, Harris English, Hideki Matsuyama, and Cam Young made it in by a sliver.

The course we have this week is not on the regular circuit, but one we saw not that long ago (2020).  Olympia Fields Country Club is a big and difficult U.S Open type course that crushed most everybody in 2020.  Jon Rahm was victorious shooting -4, one of only five players in the field that were able to shoot under par.

All indications are that the field is going to have a difficult task this week at this tough course.  The Top 30 in the standings will advance to next weeks Tour Championship at East Lake.
