For as elated as I was last year for the 3M Open, I find myself completely opposite of that this year. First of all, we obviously will not be headed out to TPC Twin Cities as we did most everyday last year. Being able to follow the likes of Bryson, Reed, Mickelson, Matsuyama, Day, Koepka, etc at a course I know very well was an awesome experience. Not only will we not be attending the event this year, neither will most of the high quality players that we saw here last year. The 3M drew the unenviable spot in the schedule between The Memorial and the WGC and PGA Championship. This became the natural week that guys took a week off and thus we are stuck with a really lousy field.

Thankfully we still have DFS golf this week, despite the lousy field although we will be paying a lot more for certain guys than we are used to. Having played TPC Twin Cities before and also having walked it many more times following groups last year, I have a pretty good idea of the layout this week and feel comfortable with the type of player we should target. I will obviously talk about course description, comp courses, game theory, and share with you my player core as usual. Best of luck this week Team FGI, let’s keep it going!
